The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) started in May 2008, is a major poker tour in Latin America. The LAPT is sponsored by PokerStars, like its counterpart the European Poker Tour (2004) and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (2007). [1] In its first year, the LAPT was held in three Latin American countries, they were: LAPT Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on ESPN 2 (Latin America) - Wikipedia The channel was first launched in 1996 as ESPN 2 in Mexico and Central America and in 2002 as ESPN+ for South America. It consists on four different feeds available in the region according to its geographical location.
