Exactly this. You can have multiple save slots or multiple character slots in Ghost Recon Wildlands, Assassins Creed Origins, The Division, Far Cry 3 & those are the only ones i can think of & only Ubisoft titles.It's incredibly lazy to not include multiple save slots for PC users.
